Luxury Rubber Band Package Design

The task given was to make an ordinary item into a luxury item and to create luxury packaging for its new branding. The item chosen was a plain rubber band which is not very luxurious in and of itself, but it did hold something luxurious which is money. Rubber Bands are often used to hold stack of paper money binding them together which is where the name for the product came from “Bankroll Binder”. The color for the packaging was loosely based off the color of money but that alos would go well with a gold yellow. The inspiration for the box’s design was the nineteen twenties art deco style largely seen in wallpaper. The logo for the box was made to look like a stack of money bound with the product; a golden rubber band. Around the outside of the box is also a gold band that represents the product inside.
